Openning Blog

This is the beginning of a long and challenging online relationship. Here I am learning how to balance work, my family and me pregnant. Here I will be kept accountable for actually doing what I say and having to prove it to everyone. This is great. Anyways, enough introduction. On with what I'm blogging about.
Recently Michael, our sixteen month old has gotten sick. For the most part it is just a cough and slight loss of appetite. He eats small portion of what he would normally eat(for the most part), then has a cow until you put the spoon down. So for the cough I made chamomile tea, plain chamomile steeped in hot water. Of course I used honey as a sweetener and diluted it when putting in Michael's sippy cup. When ever I did this he would only drink a little bit. Today I asked his in home sitter to do the same, because it seemed to work well yesterday. However, she got the same result, he only drank a little. So, what did she do? Brilliantly, she mixed it with his milk, and he drank it all. However, tonight he still showed the loss of appetite symptom. Also, he was still very fussy and needy, but did not want to cuddle. Tomorrow, I will have to call the pediatrician, to see what else I can do, that is homeopathic. There are no over the counter meds for children under two. Originally my husband and I thought these symptoms could be related to teething or an ear infection. But Michael has never lost his appetite like this before. It's probably something simple and I'm probably exaggerating in my hormonal and irrational state of being. We will see what the doctor says tomorrow.
